Jersey Mike’s Subs by Kimi Steinnagel

Hold on! If we’re talking about sandwiches, there is only one real submarine sandwich shop in Frisco for my family, and that is Jersey Mike’s on El Dorado at the Tollway, in the Market Street village  area. These are REAL submarine sandwiches, like the way they were made in the summertime when  my husband and I were kids in Philly.  I’ve sent along a picture so theat you can see.  Lots of meat  and veggies, on a hoagie roll that is fresh and really a foot long (OR LONGER!) when you order their biggest sandwich (Can’t remember what they call it.) My twin girls (6 years old) eat the smallest sandwich and it is always the perfect size for them. When you order your sub, order it “Mike’s Way” to get it the way it was years ago. Oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Sort of straight up. Or choose what you want to put on it. They have everything. My only complaint is that they frequently run out of  iced tea.
