For the filling:
- 5 Apples (peeled and sliced)
- 2 cups of cranberries fresh or frozen (unthawed)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
For the Topping:
- 1/3 cup flour
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 5 tbsp of butter
- 1/3 cup of oats
- Preheat oven to 190ºC / 374º F
- Mix sliced apples, berries and 1/4 cup of brown sugar into a bowl
- Add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Mix it with a spoon.
- Transfer it into a butter greased oven safe casserole dish.
- In a bowl combine 1/3 cup of flour, a pinch of salt, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp of cinnamon and mix it with a spoon.
- Add 5 tbsp of cubed butter. Mix it with a pastry blender or a fork.
- Add 1/3 cup of oats and mix it together.
- Add crumble mixture on top of apple + berries mix.
- Bake it for 45 minutes.
- Serve it as is or with your favourite vanilla ice cream.
